About CAPS & Maple City
CAPS & Maple City supports healthy, safe, and thriving children and families by providing quality, comprehensive services to all.
Since 1976, Child and Parent Services (CAPS) has supported children and families in north central Indiana, working to ensure every child can grow up safe, healthy, and free from abuse.
CAPS offers a full range of services that both prevent abuse and respond when it occurs, always rooted in strong, supportive relationships. From prenatal care through each stage of childhood, we walk alongside families, offering the education, resources, and encouragement they need to thrive.
At the heart of our work is hope: the belief that with the right support, every child and every family can build a brighter future.
Each year, CAPS serves more than 5,600 children and adults, strengthening families and fostering safer, healthier communities across our region. We bring together trusted community health care and child and family support services to help people at every stage of life. From primary care, dental care, and behavioral health to child abuse prevention, home visiting, advocacy, and family strengthening programs, our work is rooted in dignity, relationships, and hope.

For decades, Maple City Health Care Center and Child and Parent Services have served the community in deeply connected ways. Maple City has provided accessible, community-based health care, while CAPS has supported children and families in north central Indiana since 1976, working to ensure every child can grow up safe, healthy, and free from abuse.
As CAPS & Maple City, we are building on that shared history to better meet the needs of families across our region. We know that health, safety, family stability, and child well-being are connected. A family may come to us for a medical appointment, behavioral health care, parenting support, dental care, advocacy after abuse, or help during a difficult season. No matter where someone begins, our goal is to provide compassionate, high-quality support that helps children and families thrive.
