We'd love to introduce you to Dr. Dwayne Johnson, the newest pediatrician joining our team!
Dr. Johnson is a board-certified pediatrician with over 42 years of experience, dedicated to serving children and families—primarily within the public health sector. Throughout his career, he has been deeply committed to the principle that every child deserves access to high-quality, compassionate healthcare, regardless of their background, circumstances, or ability to pay.
From the beginning
Dr. Johnson's professional journey began with four years of service in the military as a general physician, an experience that instilled in him a strong sense of duty, discipline, and service. Since then, he has devoted his career to caring for underserved and vulnerable populations, working to reduce health disparities and ensure that all children have the opportunity to thrive.
"I take great pride in delivering patient-centered care that not only addresses immediate medical needs but also supports long-term health, development, and well-being. I strongly believe in preventive care, family education, and community partnership as essential components of pediatric practice. Advocating for children—especially those facing social, economic, or systemic barriers—has been a central focus and driving force throughout my career." said Dr. Johnson
Outside of the Office
Happily married for over 30 years and a proud parent of three children, Dr. Johnson enjoys family time when outside of the pediatric office. His home is shared with a dog, a cat, and a conure, all of which bring joy and liveliness to his daily life. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, American folk dancing, and traveling to new destinations. "These experiences help me stay grounded, energized, and connected to the broader world—perspectives I carry with me into my work caring for children and families," he shared.
